A native of East Oakland, Numa started her career in Family and Children’s Services five years ago as a field Social Worker in the RFA (formerly the R/NREFM) unit, and became an RFA Supervisor in 2015. As a Social Worker, Numa had a knack for engaging with caregivers to help them get through the RFA approval process smoothly, and also for mentoring new Social Workers. As a Supervisor, her goal is to help RFA workers deliver excellent service to caregivers and other partners. Her studies in Human Development and her graduate work in Public Policy Implementation shaped her strong desire to serve our families. Numa enjoys movies, concerts, water aerobics, volunteering, easy hikes, cooking, and cheering on our Bay Area sports teams.
